Role Overview:

A Treehouse Pastry Cook is an integral part of the pastry and baking program, contributing to the preparation of desserts, baked goods, ice creams, and other pastry needs. Supporting a variety of venues—from large-scale banquets to the casual Backyard café, the vibrant Beer Garden, and our signature restaurant Valley Goat—you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional pastry offerings across Treehouse Hotel's diverse dining experiences. Working closely with the culinary leadership team, you'll execute precise and skilled pastry tasks to uphold the creativity, quality, and consistency that make Treehouse Hotel unique.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of pastries, desserts, breads, ice creams, and other baked goods.
• Follow recipes and instructions from the culinary leadership team to ensure consistency and quality.
• Handle foundational pastry tasks, including scaling ingredients, mixing doughs, and preparing batters.
• Support mise en place preparation for pastry stations, ensuring readiness for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Properly store and label pastry ingredients and finished products.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to support daily production needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in pastry, baking, or culinary preparation (formal education in pastry is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, including mixing, and baking.
• Understanding of kitchen weights and measures.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, such as mixers, ovens, and ice cream machines.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay focused in a dynamic kitchen.
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn under the guidance of the Pastry Lead.
• Commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

$30.50/hr
